Pew Center Rated Palin Low Among Governors

The Pew Center published in March the results of an extensive survey ranking of the governance of each of the states.  Palin’s administration got a “C,” below the national average of “C+.”  Christine Gregoire in Washington, Alaska’s nearest neighboring state, received highest marks.

Given McCain’s earlier criticism of Palin for excessive requests for earmarks, her low evalutaion as a governor, and the fact that she has less experience than any candidate for her office in modern history, one must conjecture about the choice of her as a running mate.  Clearing she got the pick for personality and to solidify the base: beauty contest criteria, not on merit.
