Evenwel v. Abbott

This case was decided last week, affirming Texas redistricting which attempted to make voting districts roughly equal in population.  This had been challenged  on the contention that voting districts could be validly created according to the number of registered voters.

What interested me was Justice Thomas concurring opinion which criticized the line of decisions requiring “one person one vote,” entirely disregarding their significance in terms of civil rights history.  Amazing.
